“Weltflucht” è il tentativo di percorrere una via per coniugare le opposizioni dell’umana esperienza, per scoprire che la fuga non necessariamente è verso un luogo lontano ma risiede dentro di noi, “verso di noi“, come recita la poesia di Else Lasker-Schüler.
In uno stretto corridoio si cela l’unica e reale natura di cui siamo il frutto.
Il vorticoso moto interiore di ognuno di noi diventa, nell’immaginario coreografico di Alessia Gatta, lo spazio di una tangibile esperienza artistica.
La scenografia, come è consuetudine nelle opere di Gatta, svolge un ruolo fondamentale nel corso dello spettacolo.
I quattro danzatori saranno ripetutamente costretti a spazi ridotti e i continui spostamenti degli elementi scenici, due giardini verticali mobili, delineano al contempo stati di libertà e prigionia, di humour e di magia. L’opera di Gatta vuole confondervi e turbarvi, per giungere insieme alla conclusione che la vera fuga è verso o da noi stessi.

In the pursuit of going along the way that can link the oppositions of human experience, we realize that the escape could not be only towards a far-off place, but it could lie within ourselves, as Else Lasker-Schüler wrote in her poem Weltflucht. A narrow corridor hides the only real nature of what we are a fruit of. In Alessia Gatta ‘s choreographic imagination the vortical motion which shakes our interiority becomes the place where a concrete artistic experience is enacted. in Weltflucht, As it usually happens in her works, the scenography plays an important role in the performance. The four dancers are constantly confined in narrow spaces.
The scenery on the stage, consisting in two vertical moveable gardens, is continually moved and creates different physical and emotional spaces, in which freedom alternates with captivity, with moments of humor and magic. This work wants to confuse and perturb you, but it also suggests that the only real withdrawal possible is the one towards ourselves.
